The Community Based Crime Reduction (CBCR) ( formerly Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation) Initiative is a place-based program to reduce crime and revitalize communities. BCJI supports data- and research-driven projects to build and enhance the capacity of communities to create comprehensive strategies to address priority crime problems. This includes training and technical assistance to help build the capacity of the most distressed communities to develop comprehensive crime strategies.

The Englewood Quality of Life Public Safety Taskforce members will be the lead stewards during the implementation of this initiative.
